"Family Day" at McLane Nature Trail

"Family Days" are very treasured for us. (As of course they always should be). Since Trever is busy building our house on his off days we don't get a ton of time with just the four of us. This weekend we were so blessed by beautiful weather and Daddy being home. WONDERFUL. We spent time down at the fountain (Natalie couldn't get enough... Nathan wouldn't get close). We spent a morning at the McLane Nature Trail, it was blessed time together. And we even spent some really great time just being at home.

No one could have prepared me for the love that our children bring into my life.

Natalie loves the water. She is becoming so adventurous and fun!

Nathan is teaching Natalie how to throw rocks... we have to help him to remember not to throw them "over" her. ;)

Typical, Natalie running after Nathan. There is nothing better than playing in nature with the kids. They get to explore and discover so many things!

Daddy and his wonderful kids. They are so happy when he's around. He is such a wonderful and special Daddy!

Still riding! He rides his "blue bikey" every day. Sometimes I tell him that we need to get in the car and he runs for the bike so he can ride it over to the car.

A visit from Nana, Papa and Justin

We enjoyed a wonderful weekend with Trever's parents and his brother. The boys all worked on the house, we played cards and games, and went to Farmers Market and the park. It's very rare to have a relaxed family weekend together. We missed having Justin's family with us, we'll have to plan a camping trip sometime soon.

There are only picture of Nana and the kids because I still have to get copies of her pictures. Sorry to Justin and Papa.

It might be hard to tell, but Natalie is thrilled to be going down the slide.

Nathan's turn.

Mornings with Gagi and Papo

The kids love to spend the night at Gagi and Papo's house. Mornings are filled with cartoons and cuddling.

Mothers Day

Trever, Mike and my dad (Papo) were gone on Mothers Day. So my mom and I took the kids to the Nisqually nature trail. This has been my mom's tradition since Nathan was born. Usually I stay home and spend a relaxing morning alone. This year I joined her and really enjoyed the time together. Next year I'll have to decide between the walk and a bath in a quiet house, hmm...

Nathan and Natalie pushing the stroller together.

An exhausted little girl. She was happy to lay on Gagi for the last part of the walk. Gagi is in heaven to have a little cuddler, as it's gotten a bit harder to find cuddle time with Nathan.

Moments with Natalie

Natalie loves to wear our shoes around. She gets a bit frustrated when she can't keep them on. She is such a girl!

Really??? Is she getting this big already???

Our happy little girl. She is very expressive... either very happy or frustrated. She is also our cuddler, God definitely gave Natalie qualities that even themselves out. :) (You may also notice that this is a rare day when we were able to keep a clip in her hair! It's so nice to see her pretty face!)

Natalie has this incredibly funny walk. We call it her "monkey walk". These pictures give an example of the walk. She rolls her shoulders forward, swings her arms and kicks her feet out.

It's so funny... we hope she grows out of it... but we'll be really sad to realize it's gone.
