A visit with the Treats

Our good friends the Treats came over for a weekend visit. It was wonderful time together. Matt and Trever got a lot of work done on the house, Sheri brought us Almond Biscotti that I am still thinking about and planing to make, and we all enjoyed some great family time together.

We went on an outing to find a letterbox... such a fun tradition that I hope to continue with our kids as they get older.

Nature calls...

Trever hears it also!

The train drawing

Nathan was so proud of himself for drawing a train on his face! He's not usually interested in drawing or coloring, so I gave him lots of praise while trying to encourage not using his body as a canvas.

Papo and the kids

I thought it was so cute to see these pictures of Papo with the kids. They were both taken at the same age (the kids are 15 months old). Papo has a very special relationship with each of them. He teaches them to operate the tractor and work in the garden. He also loves to give treats and share naptime. He has lots of patients and energy for playing and working... until they go home, and then he crashes ;) We're so fortunate for the special relationships they have created. Since Trever and I were not near any of our grandparents growing up, we feel so blessed to have all 4 grandparents nearby.

June house pictures

It's really starting to look like a house. We recently had the roof put on (SO glad we didn't bother doing it ourselves!!!). And the windows were complete today.

Look at the bottom left hand side of this picture... Natalie looks SO SMALL!

Trev has started working on the trim, yippie!
